I am direated by Mr. Secretary den to inform
you that a further message relating to Mrs. Jarmain has
been received from his Majesty's consul-General at Shanghai.
According to this Mrs. Jarmain declinee at present to
return to England, and the passages for her and her son
have been cancelled. In these circumstances the offer
of the St. George's Society to defray the cost of her
repatriation may not be kupt open.
The Consul-General adds that Mra. Jarmain is
writing to you herself.
